The Manga Opens With The Story Of The Elder Boruto Uzumaki Fighting An Enemy Named Kawaki During The Destruction Of His Village. What Follows Is A Retelling Of Events In Boruto: Naruto’s Movie With Additional Content. As The Son Of The Seventh Hokage Naruto Uzumaki, Boruto Was Angry With His Father For Putting The Village In Front Of His Family. At That Time, Boruto Became A Member Of The Ninja Team Led By Naruto’s Protégé Konohamaru Sarutobi, Along With Sarada Uchiha, Daughter Of Sasuke And Sakura Uchiha, And Mitsuki, Orochimaru’s Artificial Son. When Sasuke Returns To The Village To Warn Naruto Of The Impending Threat Of Finding Out Kaguya Otsutsuki’s Motives, Boruto Convinces The Uchiha To Prepare Him For The Upcoming Chunin Exam In Order To Impress His Father.

During The Exam, Momoshiki Otsutsuki And Kinshiki Otsutsuki – The Threat Sasuke Spoke Of – Appear And Kidnap Naruto So That They Can Use Kurama, The Tailed Beast Sealed Within His Body, To Revive The Dying Divine Tree From The Dimension They Came From. Boruto Joins Sasuke And The Four Kage – Leaders Of The Other Ninja Villages – To Rescue Naruto.

The Battle Ends When Momoshiki, Who Sacrificed Kinshiki For The Enlargement, Is Defeated By Boruto And His Father With The Help Of Sasuke. But Momoshiki Survived Long Enough To Realize Boruto’s Full Potential, Warning Him Of Future Adversity. After Recovering From The Battle, Boruto Decides To Become Like His Mentor Sasuke In The Future, Instructing Sarada To Follow Her Dream Of Becoming The Next Hokage.

Unlike In The Manga, After A Flashback Featuring Kawaki, The Episode Begins With Boruto Attending The Hidden Leaf Village Ninja Academy. It Awakens A Special Ocular Technique That Has Played A Role In Detecting Contaminated Energy In Some People Who Have Become Aggressive. Mitsuki Helped To Reveal His Classmate And Friend Sumire As The Person Responsible For The Pollution And Depletion Of People’s Chakras. This Led Boruto To Try To Save Sumire From Both Mitsuki And Herself And Bring Her Back, For Which He Had To Travel Between Dimensions.

Sarada Then Has Her Own Adventure In Which She Searches For Her Father, Sasuke Uchiha, Helping Him And Naruto Rescue Her Mother Sakura From Shin Uchiha.

The Hidden Leaf Students Then Go On An Excursion To Hidden Mist Village, Where Boruto Befriends A Ninja Named Kagura While Simultaneously Stopping A Traditionalist Coup Attempt.

Boruto And His Class Then Graduate From The Academy, Are Sent To Konohamaru Sarutobi With Sarada And Mitsuki, And They And Other Teams Begin Missions, In One Of Which Shikadai Nara Befriends A Criminal Named Ryogi.

The Anime Also Retells The Events Of Boruto: Naruto With Additional Content That Includes The Antagonist Urashiki Оtsutsuki. The Following Original Arcs Include The Search For Urashiki, Who Wants To Take Naruto’s Chakra Before Urashiki’s Death In The Time Slip Arc.
