Chikyuugai Shounen Shoujo Anime Plot Story
In 2045, a catastrophe occurs on a newly opened Japanese commercial space station in geocentric orbit. When this happens, the three gifted children visit the station as a promotional event. The station is also home to the last two children born in the troubled Moon colony. A couple, accustomed to low gravity, undergoes physical therapy with the goal of emigrating to Earth.
Isolated from most of the station’s adult staff, the children navigate the early stages of the disaster using local narrow-band connections, AI with limited intelligence, and drones controlled by smartphone-equivalent skin devices. Their internet connection is down, their oxygen supply is cut off, and they soon find the station damaged by the impact and leaking air.
Sometimes at odds with each other, they face challenges such as decompressing, spacewalking in ill-fitting plastic suits, and escaping micromachines supposedly designed to extract water from comets. Looming above these immediate difficulties is the larger threat of a technological singularity that is thought to have been barely averted in the previous decade.
