Shiki Anime Plot In English

The action takes place in a particularly hot summer of 1994 in a small quiet Japanese village called Sotoba. A series of mysterious deaths begin to spread in the village, while a strange family moves into the long abandoned Kanemasa hilltop mansion.

a young girl name Megumi Shimizu, who wanted to leave the village, and move to the city, pays them a visit, and never returns. She is later found lying in the woods and tragically dies. Dr. Toshio Ozaki, director of Sotoba’s only hospital, suspects an epidemic at first.

however, as the investigation continues and the death toll begins to pile up, he learns – and becomes convinced – that it is the work of the “shiki”, vampire-like creatures haunting the village. A teenager named Natsuno Yuuki, who hates living in the countryside, begins to be stalked and finds himself surrounded by death.
